I take my inspiration from Derek Jarman, echoing a mantra‑like line from "Modern Nature":
“My garden's boundaries are the horizon.”
I tend to my garden and affirm: the nature inside us is not dead. I give it a place in my practice and find here not just peace and inspiration, but the only true way of living for me.
In my series, I combine two figure: the classic vase and the chaotic nature. The branching patterns on the vessels don't literally emphasize nature—they convey its spirit. The smooth curves, asymmetry, and unpredictable branching evoke time, growth, life, and change. They are row - tactile, rough and imperfect.
